Reflecting upon yet another extraordinary year, it has been very good to be able to see existing patients and welcome new ones, either at the clinic in London or remotely around the UK.
Despite the ups and downs associated with the pandemic, there have been many positive things to celebrate this year. In November it was the Clinic’s first anniversary in our new home at 65 London Wall, a fantastic milestone considering we were preparing for the opening during the height of the pandemic.
One of the other positive aspects of this year is that all of us have played our part in bringing the menopause more out in the open with a growing band of celebrities speaking of their own experiences and media joining the discussion. Many of you have kindly shared your own menopause stories on our Patient’s Stories page, adding to the conversation, thank you. The Medical Prime team and I are also keeping the subject alive through presentations at organisations, the most recent being a ‘Virtual event for the SME/Fintech/Other Signatories of Her Majesty’s Treasury Women in Finance Charter’. I was very pleased to participate in a discussion about ‘Menopause: understanding and addressing its impact’. More info on the Events page.
At the Clinic, we’ve streamlined our services. Working with online pharmacy, CloudRx, has speeded up the prescription process and we also congratulate Joel Fanuel, who is now our Independent Prescribing Pharmacist. This year Dr. Connie Smith, GP with a special interest in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Inna Wear, Nutritional Therapist, also joined the team alongside our editor, Mary Tomalin. - 24th December: Reduced Service for emergencies (via email or telephone)
- 27th and 28th December: Closed
- 29th, 30th and 31st December: Reduced service for emergencies (via email or telephone)
- 4th January onwards: Service is open as usual
