Over the last few months, Medical Prime has been busy keeping the conversation going about the perimenopause and menopause participating in events across the health and business sectors. I was touched to be invited to present at the 37th Panhellenic Conference of General Practice in my home country Greece where I spoke about ‘Menopause in primary care’ and the experience I have gained over the years in the UK. The success of the conference has gone a long way in raising the profile of menopause in Greece and I am looking forward to participating in future events.
The Spring IoD Glass Ceiling Networking event, was an important date in the Calendar for engaging with likeminded colleagues. In my role as Women’s Healthcare Advisor, and a strong advocate for increased awareness at board level of the effects of perimenopause and menopause on companies, I was honoured to be given this platform to touch on the importance of quality healthcare in the performance of women and businesses.
With a focus on Dry Eyes, I was also invited by Clinica London Academy to be the Menopause Specialist Speaker at a recent session, ‘The Eye-Opening Impact of Menopause: Dry Eyes & Hormone Therapy’ which explored Dry Eye as a common, but often-overlooked symptom of menopause, the role of hormones and the evidence surrounding HRT treatment.
Last but certainly not least, a reception for the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry Business Owners Club presented a great platform to talk about the importance of available support for perimenopause and menopause in the workplace.
