Sexual health
Sexual health covers a broad spectrum of health issues that include fertility and contraception as well as sexually transmitted infections, also known as STIs (sexually transmitted infections) or STDs (sexually transmitted diseases).
In this section, we’ll focus on what we offer if you are concerned about STIs/STDs which we will refer to as STIs for ease. Of course, we also offer advice on fertility and contraception, and these are covered under our GP services.

Why it matters
STIs are very common, however, there are still lots of myths and misconceptions around them.
As a result, we often see relationships suffering or individuals keeping it to themselves rather than notifying their partners, which might have detrimental effects on someone’s fertility or long-term health.
This is particularly concerning when STIs such as chlamydia and gonorrhoea can be easily treated and others, such as HIV, have come a long way in their treatment so people can enjoy long and normal lives.
What we offer
We offer advice on and testing for a wide range of infections, including:
- Chlamydia
- Gonorrhoea
- Hepatitis B and C
- Syphilis
- HIV
Once you have the tests, the results are available either on the same or next day in most cases (this depends on the time and the type of the test requested). We will communicate the results and what needs to happen next promptly and in a way that was agreed at the consultation; via email, phone call, text or in person.

Consultation what to expect
We understand the importance of a non-judgemental, confidential, discreet and fast service, whether you attend for a general screening as a precaution, you had a sexual encounter that might have put you at risk, you have symptoms in your genital area or a partner has told you they have been tested positive for an STI.
During your consultation, we will carry out a sexual health assessment, which might include an examination, before we guide you on the most appropriate tests for you and the time frames they should be done.
Cost
Standard consultation 20 minutes £65.
Blood tests and other investigations are charged extra. The doctor will discuss what is recommended and any associated costs at your appointment.
